Abstract

This brief paper and invited talk on October 21, 2008 at the 7th ASEE Global Colloquium on Engineering Education focuses on educational research as a means of informing and influencing engineering education practice. I began exploring changes in engineering education about 10 years ago and gave a series of keynote presentations with titles such as "Engineering education: Pressures to change, current trends and future directions."
